LeAnn Rimes Plates Of "Drop Dead Diva" And The Life Of Newlyweds

LeAnn Rimes is not a diva - who plays a TV only.

Sunday evening, married singer / actress guests in Season 3, as the work of a life of "Drop Dead Diva" starring Brooke Elliott, a lawyer. Rimes plays an ex-wife of a celebrity was charged with hit-and-run, and walk in the role of winks, all experts in the drama surrounding his personal life.

AOL TV talked to the star of 'Diva' how she and her husband Eddie Cibrian manage the tabloid coverage of his brief foray into soap opera acting and more.

Finally, you do more acting than singing.

Rimes: yes. "Drop Dead Diva" has asked me to do an episode last year. Character, they offered me the first time is the exact opposite of this, I liked it. But the timing was not right. They wrote this character in particular for me, hoping I would. I liked it when I read it. Great show, very funny. I like the game scorned ex-wife of TV star.

Are you careful not to take the role of producers who try to capitalize on your off-screen life?

Absolutely. And I felt it was. There is quite a difference in my life what I experienced and this character [.] People do not usually see me in roles like that. They see me in love stories. For that was really funny. During breaks, people on the set was like, "You play a really good dog." (Laughter) I said, "Thank you, it's a compliment."

What do you like "Diva?

The message indicates that this aspiring model was killed and came back with another body, which is heavier, not necessarily those who would like to be. But has this amazing heart, and this is a smart-as-a-whip a lawyer. We believe that the body image is a black and white, but all available in so many different shapes and sizes. I love to be on television - that there is a real woman on TV in some incredibly intelligent and successful. They break every so often to sing. It 'really fun and very well written, too.

Do you sing in the episode?

Well, I'm going to stay away from singing roles as possible, unless it is a sensitive signal to do so.

Hollywood tends to put people in boxes. Is it difficult to get producers to see you as an actor?

Yes, this happened before, but as you prove you have talent [change.] My voice will always be my natural talent at first, but the performance is another way of expressing myself. I really enjoy it. I try to find roles that suit me and enjoy it.

You and talk about Eddie do?

Yes he was on set with me a couple of times, and he was seeing on the monitor. Occasionally will say, "Hey, try this" or "Try this." Always good to have around. Above all, let the others do. (Laughter.) I'm singing tips most of the time, which is even worse. [Note: Cibrian sang in a boy band called deep '3 '.] In fact, I worked on the game since I was 15.

You did a gig a day on "Days of our Lives" opposite Jensen Ackles ("Supernatural") back in 1998.

Jensen was so sweet. The whole world is so hard soap. The hours [a long], and they shoot so fast. I got the script this morning. It was one of the craziest things I've ever done. But it was soaking my toe in the deep end. I did it because Jensen is a good friend.
