Country stars Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert tied the knot last month in Texas, and now coach of "The Voice" is indicative of how the happy couple spent their honeymoon.
"Our goal was just to go home in about three days," Shelton told the E! Online, adding that it was Lambert who suggested low-key honeymoon in order to break his way. However, Shelton wanted to give his new bride as a surprise.
"He's just saying that, I decided at that moment I was going to surprise her with a trip somewhere ... just know that he was willing [to give up a long journey] to me," he said.
So after spending some time at home in Oklahoma, the newlyweds outside the tub to Cancun to stay at home household friend and fellow singer Reba McEntire.
"I surprised him and he flew down with some friends of us for three days of absolute frenzy of fun," he said. "We got to experience all we drank, we ate too much, we had sea sickness, one day, we had a sunburn, I made a couple of pictures of salt water that I do not think that because the waves that hit me too hard. "
Shelton also said that since he and Lambert are both so in touch with their fans, they do not mind sharing bits and pieces of their personal lives with the world.
"People want to know and you know what, I am proud. I mean, I can not believe I'm Miranda Lambert. Hell yeah, I'll talk about it and I hope there are pictures in magazines, so I can prove it to people. It's great for me. I do not have to keep secret from anyone. "
Shelton and Lambert were married in May, surrounded by friends, relatives and celebrities, such as Cee Lo Green, Reba McEntire, Martina McBride and Dierks Bentley.
