TMZ reported that Frampton left the divorce papers to the Superior Court County of Los Angeles, citing irreconcilable differences.
The singer of 61 years seeking joint legal custody and visitation rights with the couple's 15 years old daughter, Mia.
Frampton, however, contends that the primary physical custody of their daughter, gave Elfers.
Frampton also require that the legal costs can be divided into Elfers.
This is the third divorce Frampton. A couple married in 1996 and a split on New Year's Eve 2010.
